What is the Lenin Peak Base Camp Trek?
The south of Kyrgyzstan represents the raw, nomadic edge of the Tian Shan range. This 7-day, 6-night expedition is engineered for high-altitude immersion, escalating from easy-moderate canyon trekking at 2,200m to a technical summit objective at 5,130m.
This is a true wilderness deployment. You will navigate territory devoid of roads and villages, moving through juniper woodlands and high-altitude pastures where yaks graze. Your trek includes packhorse support for luggage, traditional felt yurt accommodations, and specialised 4WD transport to bridge the gaps between remote trailheads.
The mission culminates at Tulpar Kol Lake, positioned directly beneath the four-kilometer wall of ice and rock that forms the north face of Lenin Peak. From here, you will execute a high-altitude push to Yuhina Peak (5,130m), where the air is 50% thinner than at sea level, offering a 360-degree tactical view of the entire Trans-Alay range. This is an off-the-beaten-track experience for those who demand deep local immersion and high-altitude adventure.
