The Kanamo Peak Expedition is one of the most rewarding 6000-meter Himalayan climbing experiences for global mountaineers. This non-technical climb in Spiti Valley offers big-mountain views and a safe path for beginners and intermediate climbers. Located near the village of Kibber, Kanamo Peak (5,970 m / 19,586 ft) is often called “the easiest 6000er in India” yet it delivers a true high-altitude challenge.

The expedition begins in Kaza and follows a carefully planned acclimatisation schedule. You trek through remote Spiti villages, high meadows, and rugged Himalayan terrain. Along the way, climbers learn essential skills such as crampon movement, ice-axe handling, roped travel, and winter safety techniques when seasonal conditions require them.

This Kanamo Peak Expedition is fully guided and supported. Our certified UIAA/IMF instructors provide safety planning, backup gear, and reliable logistics throughout the climb. The summit offers breathtaking 360° views across the Spiti, Kinnaur, and Trans-Himalayan ranges, including peaks like Chau Chau Kang Nilda.

Perfect for aspiring mountaineers, this expedition builds confidence and prepares you for future Himalayan climbs such as Friendship Peak, Stok Kangri, and Mentok Kangri.
